The Holodomor Memorial Candle on Petőfi tér, District V, in the historic centre of Budapest, commemorates the victims of the 1932–1933 famine-genocide in Ukraine. It was unveiled on 29 April 2009, and Budapest’s Ukrainian community gathers here every year for remembrance ceremonies.
